Canine Discounting
This describes the process for the new canine discounting methods.
Online Discount
There is a 5% discount, on top of all the other discounts, if you pay for your tests online and complete the online forms.
Puppy Pricing
The puppy price is not considered a discount from the normal price and therefore does not have an associated discount percentage. The puppy price will be listed as a normal price with a unique product code e.g. CEA-P, PRA-P. All further discounting methods will be applied to the puppy price as is the case with any other product.
Animal Discount Classification
In order to calculate the appropriate total discount each animal needs to be identified. If several products for a single animal are chosen then the “Product Volume Discount” applies. If a single product is chosen for multiple animals then the “Animal Volume Discount” applies. Each animal can only be included in one of these discount classifications.
Animal Volume Discount
Animal volume discounts apply to all animals in a case which have a single product assigned to them. The discount is as follows:
• Between 3 and 6 single product animals receive 10% off the price of each animal
• 7 or more single product animals receive 15% off the price of each animal
It does not matter which products are chosen or in what combination. If there is less than three animals with single products assigned to them in a case there is no applicable discounts.
Product Volume Discount
Product volume discounts apply to all animals in a case which have more than one product assigned to them. The discount is as follows:
• Each animal with multiple products receive 30% discount on all lower priced products.
This basically means that if an animal has more than one product assigned to it then any product which costs equal to or less than the most expensive product receives a 30% discount.
Products Exempt From Discounts
The only product which is exempt from discount at this stage is the BITSA product.
Coat Colour
Since the coat colour price depends on the number of loci chosen, the total price is considered a single product for the discounting methods. Once the total price has been established the coat colour product can be included in the discounting methods as is the case with any other product. E.g. $85 + $25 + $25 = $135 single product price.
