We are just beginning in the breeding world and when we were advised to take our Boerboel to Frozen Puppies to get her inseminated we had absolutely no idea what we were in for. Tanzia was up there for 5 days and came home happy, well cared for and smelling beautiful! We then had to take Tanzia back every week for progestrogen shots to keep her levels stable and as Tony predicted we had a litter of 10! All survived and Tanzia has been an amazing mum looking after them all without any help! Tanzia loved her weekly trip up to Frozen Puppies every week and was always so excited to be there which told me just how good they had been with her. They were happy for me to ring while she was up there and were so helpful with tips on how to handle the birth and puppies. We have nothing but praise and thanks for all the staff at Frozen Puppies and would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone.
Many thanks Matt and Michelle Walsh
Although our breed (Staffordshire Bull Terrier) is numerically strong in Australia, the gene pool is not particularly diverse. Staffordshire Bull Terriers have not traditionally been an easy breed to get pregnant via frozen semen and in the past thousands of dollars worth of semen has either yielded no puppies or perhaps 1 or 2 - hardly a worthwhile proposition and not an idea we would entertain back then. Now with the expert help of Frozen Puppies, the sire you feel is best for your breeding program living in another country is no barrier and just about any stud dog can be accessed via frozen semen. The strike rate is outstanding and the process is simple and no stress to the owners of the sire or the importers. The Calga facility is clean and secure and the staff are ‘dog people’ and we have no hesitation in leaving our girls in their capable hands. Personally, Frozen Puppies have helped us with 2 litters from frozen semen, one litter of 7 and the other an astounding 10 - all healthy, happy, typey Staffordshire Bull Terriers. We are able to store semen from dogs we own now for use in the future, as well as add sires from overseas - ensuring the future success of our kennel.
Frozen Puppies also have helpful representatives, in most states, who are able to help with chilled and frozen semen. When you live in Tasmania this is a great alternative to having bitches flown in from interstate for matings. They also offer advice on difficult dogs and/or bitches within your breeding programme. Just recently we had one of our girls who the first time when mated missed, the second time had one puppy. This time our FP rep mentioned a herbal product called Boost Ya Girls Up, which is manufactured and distributed by FP, we tried as directed and the result was a healthy litter of 10 puppies!
Thankyou Frozen Puppies

I have just had one of my bitches inseminated with the frozen semen you imported for me from the UK and all went really well. I was completely thrilled with the thawed quality of the semen, and with the care that both my bitch and I were treated. A great experience - one that I will recommend to anyone thinking of using a fertility specialist in the future.
I look forward to hearing from you soon (and for some lovely puppies in about 9 weeks!)
Cheers for now,

We have been using Frozen Puppy services for a few years and have experienced considerable success utilising the different services on offer. 2 beautiful litters from international frozen semen; one of 8 & the other 10 puppies. In 2008, a litter of 13 was a result of a fresh AI implant with the aid of the staff from Frozen Puppies in Calga. One progesterone test and the one fresh AI was all that was required. The 'in house' progesterone testing is convenient, accurate & reliable, having the results in one and a half hours is an excellent service.
